Tharpe Company
Names CEO
STATESVILLE, NC (June 16, 2006) – John Tharpe, founder of The Tharpe Company, announced the
appointment of Brett Tharpe as Chief Executive Officer and President of the Statesville, NC,
recognition organization. Brett has served as President of the company for the past year.
As CEO and President, Brett will focus on strategic direction and growth opportunities, in addition
to overseeing sales, marketing, finance and daily operations.
“We have maintained our growth pattern in the recognition industry,” Brett Tharpe confirmed.
“We have a clear vision and plan as to where we are headed and how we will aggressively increase
our market share.”
Plans to grow the business will result in an expanded recognition offering and an innovative sales
approach to a mature market.
As a result of this organizational move, John Tharpe, who came out of retirement to rejoin the
organization as CEO, will return to his Chairman position and continue to serve on Tharpe’s Board
of Directors.
The Tharpe Company, Inc. proudly celebrates 25 years in the recognition industry this year.
